Is Bubble worth it in 2026?

Bubble is worth it in 2026 if you are building a web app with real logic, a database and user accounts, and you can budget for a paid plan: Bubble's pricing page lists Live website and Custom domain only from the Starter plan up, at $32 a month billed annually, with usage measured in workload units. The Free plan includes 50K workload units a month for building and testing.

What Bubble costs in 2026

Bubble's pricing page lists five plans. Free ($0) includes 50K workload units a month, but Live website and Custom domain only appear in the feature lists from Starter upwards. Starter is $32 a month, Growth $119 a month (2 app editors) and Team $349 a month (5 app editors), all billed annually; Enterprise is priced on request. Starter includes 175K workload units a month, Growth 250K and Team 500K.Source: Bubble, “Pricing” (bubble.io/pricing)

Workload units are the usage measure Bubble's plans are priced on. The pricing page says you can pay for overages as you go and disable overages at any time, but it does not list a per-unit overage price, and apps on the Free plan cannot enable overages. Extra file storage is listed at $3 per 100 GB a month.Source: Bubble, “Pricing” (bubble.io/pricing)

Our view: When Bubble is a good fit

  • A web app with user accounts, a database and multi-step workflows, such as a marketplace, a SaaS prototype or an internal portal.
  • A founder or small team that wants one tool for front end, database and logic, and is prepared to learn it properly.
  • Projects where logic and integrations matter more than pixel-level design control.

Our view: When it is not

  • Marketing sites, portfolios and landing pages: a website builder is usually cheaper and faster.
  • Apps that must stay on a free plan in production: Live website and Custom domain are listed only from Starter up, and the Free plan cannot enable overages.
  • Projects where the main product is a native mobile app: check Bubble's pricing page for its mobile offering; a mobile-first builder may suit better.

Our view

Bubble remains one of the most capable no-code web app builders, and for a product with real logic the Starter or Growth plan is reasonable value against the cost of a developer. The two things to watch are workload units, which can make a busy app cost more than the headline price, and the learning curve. Build a small prototype on the Free plan first; if it takes shape, the paid plan is justified.
